Hyperpersonalize your SFMC journeys
CloudRelay is a plug-and-play custom activity for Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s journey builder. This custom activity lets automation specialists hyperpersonalize their SFMC journeys, without needing any extra developer resources. Meaning you can say bye to the limitations of SFMC journey builder’s default options. Instantly.

Developing your own custom activities takes time you don’t have
Documentation on developing your own custom activities is pretty flimsy. And that’s if you get developer resources signed off on, at all. If you’re looking for the shortest time-to-market for your next campaign, you’re better off just plugging in CloudRelay.
Expand your channels with CloudRelay
Use CloudRelay’s custom activity to connect your Marketing Cloud to internal tools like Zapier, Slack, MS Teams, or external platform like Braze or Twilio. You can even integrate with any LLM you’d like.

Here’s what’s possible with our plug-and-play activity
While the possibilities of what you can do with CloudRelay are limited only by your imagination, these are some of the use cases automation specialists try out most often.
Use any third-party service for your messages
We all know SFMC’s basic personalization options just don’t cut it. Go beyond those default options and connect with any third-party service you’d like. Think tools like ChatGPT, Storyteq by Adobe or Firebase for push notifications.

Connect with any ad platform you want
Stop relying on the limited, native Ad Campaign activity. Use CloudRelay to instantly personalize or activate your user base to target them with ad campaigns in real-time on platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit or Twitter.
Change the flow of your journeys in real-time
Using data or click behavior from user interactions in your journeys always means you’re working with a 15 minute delay. With CloudRelay, you can change flows based on third-party input from, for instance, LLMs or even credit check tools.

FAQs
Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about our product.
Very easy. The interface is intuitive, with step-by-step configuration, template-based API connectors, and inline tooltips. Non-developers can use prebuilt configurations or simply copy-paste from Postman. It also supports dynamic field mapping with Journey data, making it usable without scripting.
CloudRelay itself does not impose any rate limits. Our infrastructure is built to autoscale with demand, ensuring your requests are handled efficiently regardless of volume. However, since CloudRelay connects to external APIs, their rate limits and payload constraints will apply, and these vary by service. When pushing millions of records through a journey, it’s important to account for these external factors to avoid failures or throttling. We’re happy to assist with best practices for API pacing, retry logic, and queue management to help you scale responsibly.
CloudRelay includes configurable timeouts and fallback logic. You can define a custom error response, route contacts down an alternate path, or retry with exponential backoff. If an API is unreachable, Cloud-Relay fails gracefully without breaking the journey and logs the error for analysis.
CloudRelay supports Bearer Tokens, Basic Auth, API Keys, and OAuth2 via dynamic header configuration or reusable token endpoints. All data in transit is secured with TLS encryption, and secrets are encrypted and stored securely. No data is stored longer than necessary. Responses can be passed downstream, anonymized, or discarded per your configuration.
Yes. CloudRelay is designed to function like a POSTMAN inside Journey Builder. You can connect to any publicly accessible REST API, define headers, body, parameters, and dynamically inject journey data. It supports all standard HTTP methods and even advanced features like response parsing, conditional branching, and token injection.
CloudRelay follows a subscription-based pricing model, with tiers based on monthly API usage and number of connectors. A 14-day free trial is available with full functionality (but limited to 500 API calls) so teams can explore the product before committing.
